Profile and preferences

Set your name, role, conversation tone, custom instructions, and theme.

Open Settings, then the General tab, to control how Surbee represents you and how it talks to you. Most fields here need a click on Save changes at the bottom of the page. The notification and read aloud switches, and the theme, apply straight away.

Your identity

  • Full name. Your display name across Surbee. Click your picture next to it to upload a new profile photo.
  • What should Surbee call you? A shorter name used inside conversations.
  • What best describes your work? Choose Student, Researcher, Marketer, Developer, Designer, Data Analyst, or Other. Surbee uses it to tailor suggestions to your role.

How Surbee talks to you

  • Conversation tone. Pick Professional, Casual, Friendly, Formal, or Creative.
  • Personal preferences. Custom instructions that Surbee considers in every response. For example, "keep surveys under 10 questions" or "focus on user research for SaaS products."

Notifications

Turn on Task completion notifications to get an alert when Surbee finishes a long-running task. Your browser may ask for permission to show notifications the first time you turn it on.

Read aloud

Turn on Read aloud to show a player that reads the page, or any text you select, out loud. The shortcut is Alt+Shift+R. This setting is saved on the device you turn it on from, so set it again on other devices.

Appearance

Pick System, Light, or Dark. System follows your operating system setting and switches automatically.
