Surbee is built so teams can trust the research they run on it. This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you can and cannot do on the platform so it stays safe, lawful, and reliable for everyone.
This Acceptable Use Policy describes activities that are not allowed on Surbee. It applies to everyone who uses the platform and is part of our Terms of Service. We may update it as new types of misuse emerge.
You may not create, distribute, or collect surveys or content that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive
- Is harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory
- Promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity
- Contains malware, exploits, or links intended to cause harm
- Infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
- Is sexually explicit involving minors, in any form
When you collect responses through Surbee, you must:
- Have a lawful basis and any required consent to collect the data
- Tell respondents who you are and how their data will be used
- Avoid collecting sensitive personal data without appropriate consent and safeguards
- Comply with all applicable privacy and data protection laws
- Honor respondents' rights to access, correct, or delete their data
To protect the platform and other users, you may not:
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without permission
- Circumvent or interfere with security, authentication, or rate limits
- Disrupt or degrade the service through excessive load, scraping, or automated abuse
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law
Because Surbee is built on trustworthy research, you may not:
- Generate, buy, or submit fraudulent or bot-driven survey responses
- Manipulate or evade our Cipher fraud-detection system
- Misrepresent the source, quality, or authenticity of collected data
- Use the platform to facilitate scams, phishing, or social engineering
When using Surbee's AI features, you may not:
- Attempt to generate content that violates this policy or applicable law
- Use the AI to produce disallowed content by circumventing safeguards
- Present AI-generated output as human research without appropriate review
You remain responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-assisted content before you publish or share it.
If we believe you have violated this policy, we may, at our discretion and where appropriate:
- Remove or disable access to offending content
- Suspend or terminate your account
- Limit or revoke access to features
- Report activity to law enforcement when required
Where reasonable, we will give notice, but we may act immediately for serious or ongoing violations that threaten the platform or other users.
