Surveys run on trust, so we are careful with what we collect, how we store it, and who it is for. Here is what that means in practice.

  • Encrypted at rest.

Survey answers and respondent IP addresses are encrypted by our application before they are stored, with the keys kept outside the database.

  • Analytics wait for you.

Analytics on this site stay off until you allow them, and you can change your mind any time from Manage cookies.

  • No account to answer.

Respondents can answer a survey without creating an account, unless its creator asks them to sign in.

  • No raw fingerprints.

Cipher recognises a returning device through a keyed hash, so no raw fingerprint or readable IP address is kept.

  • Not for sale.

We do not sell personal information. Our privacy policy says so in plain words.

  • Feedback can be anonymous.

Our feedback form needs no account, and your email is only kept if you choose to leave one.
