The search palette finds any survey or chat in your workspace and takes you to the main pages of Surbee, all from one box.
Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux from your dashboard, for example on the home page, your projects or your chats.
Start typing to search. Results appear as you type, grouped into:
Before you type anything, the palette shows the actions plus your Recent surveys and Recent chats.
For surveys, the palette searches:
For chats on your home page, it searches the chat's title and the messages in it.
Results are ranked so the closest match comes first: an exact title match beats one that only starts with your words, which beats a match in the description or the survey content. Small typos are usually forgiven. When two results match equally well, the more recently updated one comes first.
Search only covers your own workspace. Nobody else's surveys or chats appear in your results.
On your home page, click the button in the message box whose tooltip reads Add references, files, or import surveys, then choose Reference surveys or chats. The same palette opens, this time reading Find a survey or chat to reference. Pick a result and press Enter to add it to your message as a reference, or Cmd+Enter or Ctrl+Enter to open it in a new tab instead.
