What is Surbee?
Surbee is a survey platform with quality control built in. Describe what you want to learn and Surbee drafts the survey. While people answer, Cipher checks every response for bots, speeders, pasted or AI-written answers, and people who stopped paying attention. When results come in, you can ask questions about them in plain language.
How is Surbee different from Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or Typeform?
Most survey tools only see the final answers. Surbee also sees how each response was given: reading speed, typing rhythm, mouse and touch movement, pasted text, tab switches, and the device and network behind it. Cipher weighs dozens of these signals on every response and shows you why it flagged one, so bad data is caught as it arrives and you spend less time cleaning spreadsheets after the fact.
Can I use Surbee with my own panel or audience?
Yes. Share the survey link with anyone, from customers and email lists to panel respondents, and choose where people land when they finish. Cipher checks every response collected through Surbee. It can only score live responses, because the signals it reads are captured while someone takes the survey and other tools never record them.
Can I use Cipher in my own code without the Surbee platform?
Yes. The Cipher SDK (@surbee/cipher) brings the same response checks into your own forms, apps, and pipelines. Install the package, add an API key from platform.surbee.dev, and score each response as it comes in. You get a quality score, a keep, review, or discard recommendation, and the reasons behind it. The SDK is pay as you go with prepaid credits that never expire: tiers 1 and 2 run on-device for free, and tier 3 starts at $0.002 per response. Subscription plans are coming soon.
Can Surbee be used in government, healthcare, or other regulated sectors?
We are working on it. We're building toward the security and compliance standards these sectors require, so research teams in government, healthcare, finance, and education can run Surbee on their most sensitive studies.
