Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Surbee, you will lead core platform development and drive technical decisions that shape how researchers interact with survey data worldwide. You'll work across the full stack, building and scaling our AI-powered survey generation, real-time fraud detection (Cipher), and conversational analytics systems. You'll collaborate closely with product, design, and ML teams to ship features that directly impact thousands of researchers. We're looking for engineers who care deeply about code quality, system reliability, and user experience. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where your decisions have real impact from day one. What you'll do: • Architect and build scalable backend services and APIs • Develop responsive, performant frontend experiences with Next.js and React • Design and optimize database schemas and query patterns in Supabase/PostgreSQL • Collaborate with ML engineers on integrating AI models into the product • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture What we're looking for: • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and Node.js • Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems • Passion for building developer tools and data platforms • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
